Aside from the writing style, the one thing that I found amazing was that most of his books are connected, are part of the same universe. And this is how Stephen King became my favourite author. The Drawing of The Three sealed the deal for me in the same way in which the last paragraphs from A Game of Thrones made A Song of Ice and Fire my former favourite series. He told me to try at least the sequel and decide after that. I had to ask someone who recommended it if it’s worth continuing since The Gunslinger was sooo boring. Add some more in between and then, having heard about The Dark Tower, I tried the first book. Then I think I got to Pet Sematary, which was okish, and Carrie, which I reaaaally enjoyed, then Misery, which blew me away, then Gerald’s Game. Then, having heard more about SK, I started Shining. □ The first book by Stephen King that I’ve read was The Eyes of the Dragon, back when I didn’t know who Stephen King was. How did you fall in love with your favourite author? Recommend us a book by them.
